What This Means for You ⭐
The temperature has to be slightly higher to activate the additional adhesive. This ensures a stronger bond and eliminates the common adhesion issues. Customers who are familiar with lower-cost alternatives may be accustomed to lower temperature settings because those products contain less adhesive.
Please remember the priority for the Abcoln's Patches is for a long-lasting bond, superior adhesion and maximum durability.
Valuable Suggestion
1. Pre-heat and pre-press the material before applying the patch.
We recommend warming the material first by pre-pressing it without the patch (approximately 20 seconds). This step may not always be required, as results can vary depending on the heat press machine, its age, fabric conductivity, and other environmental factors. It is a good starting point that can be fine-tuned based on your specific setup. Once you become comfortable with the process and understand what works best in your environment, adjustments can be made as needed.
2. For beginners and first-time patch users:
We recommend placing a Teflon sheet between the visible side of the patch and the heat press platen. An insulation sheet can also be used as an alternative. This helps protect the patch surface during pressing.

PVC or LEATHER Temperature: TOP: 280 Farenheit with a TEFLON sheet and Bottom: 320 Farenheit Pressure: 5 pounds (if you have a setting like this, or else try closer to maximum pressure and then you can come reduce as appropriate) Duration: 30 seconds initially and you can tweak accordingly
Raised HD Silicone Transfers Temperature: Top Heat only : 350 Farenheit Top & Bottom : "??? Call us. We are testing" Farenheit Pressure: 6 to 7 pounds (if you have a setting like this, or else try closer to maximum pressure and then you can come reduce as appropriate) Duration: 7 seconds initially and you can tweak accordingly
This is cold peel
All Other types Temperature: 360 Farenheit [ or 180 Centigrade (Celcius) ] Pressure: 6 to 7 (if you have a setting like this, or else try closer to maximum pressure and then you can come reduce as appropriate) Duration: 25 - 30 seconds on the FRONT
Let it air-cool for a few minutes.
If you need more adherence for that specific fabric or application: Then you may be able to do one additional step before (or after) air-cooling: Reverse patch and the fabric and do the same for 10 -20 second on the BACK. If you cannot do a reverse, then you can do 10 - 15 seconds on the front, if it is still needed.
