Thanks for your responses. I wanted to mention that we are talking about placing logos on long sleeve items. We can do short sleeves no problem. We shy away from long sleeves because we are not sure how to get the logo square on the sleeve using the Hoopmaster and the extension arm. Anyone have advice for marking, measuring and hooping?
Here is my marking method: I mark the sleeve crease (vertically) as well as a straight line horizontally with a chalk liner. I’ve purchased these at JoAnn’s or Hobby Lobby. They are filled with fabric chalk dust (refills available) and have a tiny wheel at the base for marking. You’ll usually find them in the quilting section. They make a nice fine chalk line that brushes off when finished. HOWEVER – I do not use the chalk that comes with it (especially the blue and yellow chalk) instead, I fill the cylinder with cornstarch. I’ve never had an residue left behind on anything using this method.
