My machine has been down for a month. Once we finally got the right reciprocator I lost one of the little screws to hold everything in place. Finally got a screen that cost $1.50 plus $11 in shipping. Husband finished everything up tonight. I went to do a test and things move from one needle to another. Once I hit Start the needle lever goes down and sits there. No errors. Can't move the wheel in the back. I shut it off right away as there is a slight grinding sound in the back. Anyone have any thoughts for me? Thanks.
Barbara, A lesson that I learned the hard way is to never quit looking for a small part until it is found. I suspect that the small screw is jamming preventing the reciprocator from err...reciprocating. Rocking the wheel back and forth may free the jam. I would try that first.
Many automotive stores sell a tool with a small magnet on the end designed to find grab and remove small dropped parts. That's a tool that should be readily available and used.
