I need to hear from anyone that has tried or has sold their business. My help is dwindling and the orders are plentiful. I am going to be 69 in Dec and it's time to retire or possibly close the business. Any one use one of the websites to sell or any ideas?
I have tried the Local Joann's that sells Viking machines. They have no suggestions or know of clients that could help or even for some part-time help.

Maybe try listing the business on Facebook marketplace, Craig's list, etc.
Also, reach out to some other similar businesses who are in the neighboring
cities and see if they would be interested. Sometimes it's easier to find
someone looking to grow their business through the purchase of another
business vs. someone starting out having never been in the business.

You might do a Facebook search for groups that sell or allow discussions
on selling a business. Or call Printwear and ask if they have any resources
you can use.

Have you considered putting an ad in, say, YouTube for Print Wear Magazine and see if there is
interest in equipment, customer base, location or all three?
I know how frustrating it can be to have a successful business you have
poured your heart into and not be able to realize something as you retire.
How about letters to chambers of commerce in Michigan asking for
assistance. Perhaps they have had inquiries about starting such an
endeavor.
I hope others chime in with ideas for you.

I know I could sell the equipment more easily than the
business. Just hate to think of closing it all together. I will try the
Chambers in Michigan, not that many of them surviving though. They used to
be a strong support, not so much any more.
Do people read YouTube for Print Wear Magazine when it is mostly on line? Would they get to the
ads? I'll try that avenue too.
