Has anyone used both Wilcom, Pulse and Design Shop Pro enough to give me an informed opinion on which is better. I've used nothing but Wilcom for the past 6 years and DataStitch 2k before that for about 10 years (Yes, I do a LOT of digitizing). I've used Pulse randomly and at times Design Shop PRO but with my prior expertise, I find Wilcom so much easier and better. Any input would be GREATLY appreciated.
Hey Joey,
"Better" is such a meaningless term! Virtually all of the major software companies, produce software that produces stitches precisely. The math and algorithms used have their quirks. For example, what to do with the remainder when stitches aren't perfectly divisible for the shape. The more familiar you become with a specific software, the better able you are in anticipating potential problems and better able to find a workable solution. Unless you find a feature in Pulse that would save you time, you've spent a considerable amount of time with Wilcom and find it much easier and "better". Don't make the mistake of many and start chasing the perfect software. Your skill and experience is far more important.

I agree with Don..."better" is extremely subjective! What really matters is what makes you productive and produces the results you require.
I love Wilcom's software (EMB), but not having used Pulse (PXF or POF) or Design Shop Pro (OFM), I could not render an opinion about it one way or the other, but I know there are lots of talented digitizers that use it.
I believe since you've already invested your time into learning what you have, that should probably be the deciding factor. Depending upon what level of Wilcom you have, perhaps you could benefit from upgrading to a higher level of the software (if you haven't already done so) in order to take advantage of the features therein? Just a thought...
